ABOUT BUTZ
Cyndi "Butz, Butzy, Coach Butz" Butz-Houghton she/her) is a freelancer television producer, director, and writer. She is also on the staff of the Women's National Football League as Head of Coaching and Development.
Butz has always been a free spirit and chooses her own path rather than follow the "norm".She was both athletic and a couch potato. She equally loved playing sports in the backyard with her mom and brother and watching all her favorite 80's television shows.
It was her infatuation with The Facts of Life and her admiration of Nancy McKeon that made her want to pursue working in television. And what a career it has become.
Butz's creativity and love of attention led her to perform on stage and fall in love with acting. While attending Beaver College, she starred in multiple performances to sell out crowds.
After graduation she officially started her career in television and found work she was passionate about with Banyan Productions. Butz quickly worked up the ranks from Receptionist to Supervising Producer, producing hundreds of hours of reality TV.
Butz's love of football came to life in 1999 when she started playing tackle football in organized semi-pro women's leagues. Her playing career was with The NY Sharks, Philadelphia Liberty Belle, and the Seattle Majestics. After playing she spent 11 years coaching in Seattle, being named the first female Head Coach for the 2023 season. After moving on from coaching, she now work with the WNFC.
Butz loves her role as a wife and mom the most. While living in the beautiful PNW and continuing to produce content as her paying gig.
